In the build-up to World Mental Health Day, Bob visited Bromley Market on Friday 7th October to speak with health workers and raise awareness of mental illnesses in Bromley
Speaking after the visit, Bob Neill MP said:
""Mental illness remains the largest single cause of disability in our country, so we are extremely lucky that Bromley has such a fantastic consortium of health providers and advocacy groups working hard and ensuring that there is a degree of parity between mental and physical health services.
""This same group of organisations set up an excellent stall in Bromley Market Place to raise awareness of World Mental Health Day and it was a pleasure to visit it and learn how these individuals are improving mental health services in our area and ending the stigma of people with mental health problems. The stall was a great success and, unsurprisingly, it attracted a great deal of support from local shoppers.""
